Dr. Antonios Kanelleas is a certified Consultant Dermatologist - Venereologist. He holds an MD and PhD Degree (cum laude) from the University of Athens. He runs an acclaimed private medical practice in Athens since 2012.

Dr Kanelleas was trained in the United Kingdom and Athens, Greece. After completing his specialty training, he served for 7 years as a Clinical Fellow in “A. Syggros” Hospital for Skin and Venereal Diseases, University of Athens. At the same time, he worked as a part time Consultant Dermatologist in Hospitals of the National Health Service (NHS), United Kingdom. He has extensive clinical and teaching experience.

Dr. Kanelleas provides care for patients covering the full spectrum of medical and surgical Dermatology as well as Venereology (Genito-Urinary Medicine). His special interests are: Genital Dermatology, Sexually Transmitted Diseases, Psoriasis, Atopic Dermatitis and Therapeutics. He has experience from both the UK and Greece, having been trained and worked in both countries for many years. We are committed to providing the best available treatment, according to international Guidelines, in a friendly and relaxed environment. All English speaking patients, who may have difficulties communicating in Greek, are more than welcome in our practice.

We are very happy to serve lots of foreign patients (expats, travellers, embassies staff etc) who currently reside in the greater Athens metropolitan area or just visit Athens.

He actively participated in clinical research in the United Kingdom and Greece, as a sub-investigator in more than 15 multicentre, multinational clinical trials.

He has attended approved training Courses on Dermatological Surgery (British Society of Dermatological Surgery) and Dermoscopy (University of Cardiff, Wales).

He has authored/co-authored and published numerous scientific papers in international peer-reviewed medical journals. He has authored chapters in Greek and International textbooks on Dermatology and Venereology.

He has attended many international and national congresses; in a few of them as an invited Speaker.
